At the yard we sell our bulk material in cubic yards, so you first need to get the volume amount for
your project. In order to figure out how many yards you need, get your square footage and the
depth of how much you need in cubic feet. From there, you convert into yards using our calculator.

Topsoil is simply local topsoil that has been screened through our screening plant to
remove any large rocks, plant material and twigs, etc. and is good for leveling out arounds in your yard or for growing grass.

Triple mix is screened topsoil that has been amended with compost (leaf and garden waste) and aged horse manure. This blend is great for vegetable gardens, flower beds and planting trees. Our compost and manure are both sourced locally, and make up 20%
and 5% of the triple mix respectfully.

No, we do not guarantee that our soil is free of weeds as we do not chemically treat any
of our soils.

Screened topsoil has been put through our plant to remove larger rocks, debris and roots, creating a finer more consistent product. This is what we recommend for lawns and landscaping projects.

Unscreened topsoil or “fill” contains larger materials and is often used for filling large areas and rough grading. Contact us if you’re looking for this type of material and we can provide you with a quote.

For a minor lawn repair, a thin layer of topsoil can be spread over existing areas before overseeding. For
larger lawn projects, removing grass will produce better results

Triple mix is the best soil for gardens, as the added compost and organic matter provide nutrients that help flowers, shrubs, trees, vegetables and other plants thrive.

Topsoil is the best choice. Not only is it the most economic choice, grass seed does well in any soil medium as long as its consistently watered. Watering is key!
